Overview

Prestige SurfaceWorks is here to help you bring your dream to reality by creating an unforgettable ambiance that is both beautiful and functional. Remodeling your home increases the value of your property and improves the quality of your life.

We promise to create a positive working relationship that you will experience from the moment you contact us, and we will continue that effort throughout your project and the lifetime of your countertops. Your project manager oversees your project from beginning to end, ushering clear lines of communication. With more than 20 years in the industry, our staff is exceptionally trained to answer any questions you may have.

Our state-of-the-art facility utilizes the latest in fabrication technology to ensure efficient work processes and quick turn-around times for our customers. We are pleased to say we are the most technologically advanced facility in the Central Valley, being the first to bring Computer-Numerically-Controlled (CnC) machinery into this market. Furthermore, we are proud to be a “green” company that recycles 100 percent of its 205 gallons of water used every minute to run our facility.

A collection of our work can be seen throughout the Central Valley: GB3 gym in Clovis, the Guarantee Building in Downtown Fresno (now the INS/IRS offices), Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, Fresno Lexus and Fresno Infiniti in north Fresno, The Dog House Grill, and most notably the Save Mart Center at Fresno State.

As a family owned company, Prestige SurfaceWorks is the oldest stone countertop company in the Central Valley. Our goal is to make sure our customers are fully satisfied and pass our name on to their friends and families, continuing our good reputation and developing long-lasting relationships.

The Story behind Prestige SurfaceWorks

During the mid 1980s, Vahe Chekian, President of Prestige SurfaceWorks, began with what was then an experimental kitchen countertop material — natural stone. In the garage every night after work, Vahe began fabricating small projects to get a better understanding of how the material was worked. His first installation was on his own fireplace. The white, painted brick was covered. Scaffolding created a new shape, and months later, a white marble fireplace was installed. For the next three months, his house was under construction. Everything from the floors to the exterior was renovated with natural stone.  Sensing a developing industry, Vahe expanded his operation, and by 1995, his company had grown into a sustainable business. During the next 10 years the company experienced exponential growth eventually moving into its current five-acre location.
